Presidents Welcome

G'day all Barossa United Junior Soccer Club players and parents.

I would like to welcome you all to a new season of junior soccer representing our club for the 2019 season.

For some of you this will be the continuation of a long association with the BUJSC, for others the very first season with our club and for some the very first season of soccer ever.

We pride ourselves in creating opportunities for as many kids as possible who are interested in playing soccer, with our underlying ethos being participation in sport and we hope that all our players and their parents experience the encompassing attitude we wish to have as a club.

With that ethos of participation in sport for players we also want to encourage all our parents to participate as well. You are all by now aware that all roles within the BUJSC are fulfilled through the efforts of individuals giving of their time when and where they can, be it a one off activity, a game day role, regularly at the club for weekly duties, a season committee member or as a member of one of our many sub-committees that are required to complete specific annual events.

Without the support of parents, grandparents, extended family members and friends we would not continue to have the successful seasons and continued growth we have been experiencing in recent times and so in advance and retrospectively I thank you for any support you can or have been able to provide. If you are in a position to assist in any capacity please make contact with any of the coaches or committee members to allow us to utilise your support.

Last year saw growth in our junior numbers to the level of 230 players. This year we will see an additional all girls U15 team representing Barossa United in the FFSA competition, along with our Senior Womenís team and two Senior Menís teams.

We now have 22 weeks of soccer ahead of us, and deep into July on those cold wet mornings you may start asking certain questions of yourself, but rest assured with everyone's support along the way it will be easier for us all.

Trust me, your kids will love you for it.

Cheers and have a great season of soccer in 2019.

Chris Smith - President Barossa United Junior Soccer Club.
